Taper's Notes:
Valand is a shitty venue and swedes are idiots, drinking themselves into a stupor at each given moment. I truly hate this behaviour, and when I silently pointed out one guy last night who was talking endlessly he wanted to club me down. Stay the fuck home you inbred sad pathetic smurfs. Watch for his neanderthal shouting during Gonna get close to you.

The show was good, Geoof sings way better now than he did when I actually left a Queensryche concert in 2011 as he and the band at the time slaughtered all songs I love so much. Whatever the beefs were then time has passed, and when he sings like last night he still speaks right into my heart with his words. It was the tour premiere, the first gig ever for the drummer who had three days (!) to learn the set, there are many warts and missed cues, but I still left with a smile on my face. The setlist is nothing short of fantastic, and especially the Rage For
Order-album really toots my flugelhorn (happy 98th birthday Betty White/Rose Nylund!)

Warts and all - a fun gig, the first time many of these songs were played for over
30 years and a lot of fun all around. If it hadn't been for all those fucking swedes.
