Taper's notes :
Taping this show turned out to be headache after headache. For starters, I avoided queueing up before doors opened to get a decent spot due to the weather; I didn't want to be out in the rain for any considerable length of time with my gear. So about an hour after doors opened I decide to jump in line (Which was still moving rather slowly) and finally get to the door. I had gotten my ticket from a friend of a friend who wasn't able to go - even though the email confirm said all you needed to get in was the order number, they said I needed a matching ID for the name on the order number. Seeing as the ticket came from a friend of a friend, I didn't even know the name it was under. They told me they'd bend and allow me in without a matching ID, but I'd have to wait until they completely caught up on letting people in, because they didn't have a list in numerical order. So, I waited well over another half hour for them to finally be able to find my order number on the list, and I finally got in, by which time the venue was absolutely packed, and the second opener was more than halfway through their set. The only spot where I could really even get my foot in the door was on the second level of the balcony, where I did at least luck into a rail spot. To cap it all off, just as the intro tape was rolling, security brought out this massive industrial strength fan and placed it right behind me (To be fair it was hot as hell in the venue, and it was desperately needed). It's audible as a low whirring, but fortunately only between songs. The mix was pretty poor, and since I didn't have a clear shot to the stacks, there's a bit of crowd noise here and there.
