This is a documentary on music scene in Ruhrpott(area in Northrhine-Westphalia, Germany) end of 1980ies.
Spoken language is German.

Otherwise it's a very good docu how things were going for the German youth those days(have things changed somehow...).

Thrash - Altenessen featuring Kreator:

Translation of German TV mag snippets words:

Altenessen, part in the north of the German city Essen, Northrhine Westphalia.
Mines were closed a long time ago.
(note: mining was the main work for people living there due to a whole lot of coal mines which had been almost exploited)
Future hopes for the young generation ain't the best, close to hopeless.
Canceled lessons/educations are part of everyday's life like alcohol and drugs.
Kids of the whole area meet in the basement rooms of shut down mine 'Carl'.
They call themselves 'Thrasher'.
Centerpoint of all of this is the METAL band Kreator.
This movie is showing a part of the life in German Ruhr area from sight of those
who try to escape the bitter circumstances of life with the help of the music.
